IT by profession, audiovisual all my life, IT/QA and freelance audiovisual profile in Barcelona

Two worlds, one same eye for detail: over 8 years in IT (from systems to QA and test automation) and, since I was a kid, a camera in hand. Today, both at once.

Since I was a kid I've had a camera in hand: short films, music videos and video for clients (now freelance too). An eye for detail and visual sensibilitythat's rare in a technical profile.

That same eye goes into the code. I've worked at Accenture, the Institut de Recerca de Vall d'Hebron (VHIR) and the SaaS Stockagile, writing tests with Cypress and Playwright so software reaches production stable. Before that, I administered systems and networks at Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu. Methodical, rigorous, at home in agile teams.

Both. I'm based in Barcelona and work fully remotely with clients anywhere. For shoots or on-site systems work, I travel depending on the project.

Can Eloi be hired for a single discipline?

Of course. Maybe you only need QA, just systems support, or just audiovisual. The good thing about a profile like this is that, when a project needs several, they work together without you having to coordinate multiple vendors.

What does the first step with Eloi look like?

A short, no-commitment conversation. You tell me what you need, I review your situation and I tell you honestly whether I can help and how. If we're a fit, I put together a proposal with clear scope and timelines.

Does Eloi work with companies and individuals?

Both. I've worked for institutions and product companies, and also with artists and independent projects. I adapt the approach and the language to each context.

How much does a project cost and how long does it take?

It depends on the scope (automating a test suite isn't the same as producing a campaign) so we work it out together in a first conversation (which is free) and I send you a clear proposal before we start.

Under NDA I can't show screenshots, but Cypress, Jenkins and E2E pipelines are my day-to-day. This anonymized case shows how I work and what I deliver.

Challenge

A retail-management SaaS needed to stop regressions before every deploy, without slowing the team down.

What I did
  • Designed test cases and scenarios and prepared the environments.
  • Automated an E2E suite in Cypress wired into the Jenkins pipeline.
  • Documented defects with traceability for the product team.
Result

Fewer regressions reaching production and a reusable E2E suite the team maintains without friction.

Where I've made my mark, career in QA, automation and IT systems in Barcelona

Over 8 years in the IT sector (from systems administration to QA and automation) and over a decade creating audiovisual content. Different paths, the same rigor. Pick one:
